This beautiful 19th century clock was manufactured by the Waterbury Clock Company USA.
It was working perfectly when I packed it away in 1992, but now slows down - probably due to dust and fluff. It will need a good clean and service by a reputable clockmaker and it should perform perfectly.
The chime sounds the hour (as heard on the video, along with the Melbourne trams!) but the small bell which normally sounds the half hour, is missing.
I installed a small clamp which instead made a satisfying "clunk".
